Support Act, is urging those who haven’t already to get involved by buying an Ausmusic T-Shirt, fundraising in a team or donating to Support Act. Ausmusic T-Shirt Day is on Friday 19 November!

Over $40,000 has been raised so far with over 600 fundraisers, companies and organisations having registered including Acoustic Centre, Amazon Music, APRA AMCOS, ARIA PPCA, Australian Music Vault, Cold Chisel, Crewcare, Good Intent, Mushroom Group, Oztix, Powderworkers, Sony Music Australia, Sony Music Publishing, Sound as Ever, Spotify, TMRW Music, UNIFIED Music Group, Universal Music Australia, Warner Music Australia, Yamaha Music Australia and YouTube Music & Google Australia. More are signing up every day.

A number of new companies and organisations both inside and outside of the music industry have also joined the campaign for the first time including Canva, CMI Music & Audio, Hogarth, Manny’s Music and Store DJ, Marshall Amplification, Morgans Financial Limited, Optus, Reckless Records, Red Bull, Samsung, Sennheiser Australia, Sydney World Pride, Sydney Youth Orchestra, Taco Bell NSW and The People Vs. There are lots of fun ways for companies to get their teams involved on the day, whether in the office or working remotely, including competitions for best t-shirt or best t-shirt story, playing the Ausmusic T-Shirt Day Music Trivia game, or hosting an “Our Company’s Got Talent” lunchtime performance.

There’s even an Ausmusic T-Shirt Day playlist on Spotify, which is now available to listen to now. Clive Miller, CEO of Support Act, says: “We’ve had an incredible response so far from individuals and companies who understand just how difficult life has been, and continues to be, for people who work in live music. “There is still plenty of time to buy a t-shirt, sign up to fundraise or make a donation and we hope to see the leaderboard really come alive over the next few weeks as music lovers from around the country rally to support all those in music who are doing it tough.”

This year’s exclusive, limited edition Premium T-Shirt Range has been flying out of the store, with designs from some of this year’s hottest artists including Genesis Owusu, GFlip, Keith Urban, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Lime Cordiale, Paul Kelly, Powderfinger, Spacey Jane, Tame Impala, Tones and I and Ed Sheeran, whose t-shirt honours the late, great Michael Gudinski.

Two new designs have just been added from CrewCare and rock legend, Jon Stevens. The t-shirts are $50 (plus postage) and are only available to order until Wednesday 3 November, which has been brought forward due to national postage delays. All net proceeds go to Support Act.

Some fantastic artists have also just come onboard as Champions to join our Ambassadors in adding their voice to the day and encourage people to get involved, including BATTS, Boom Crash Opera, Casey Barnes, Catherine Alcorn, James Reyne, Mark Seymour, Nathan Cavaleri, Tania Doko and The Angels. All artists and music workers are invited to ‘champion’ the campaign and use social media to encourage their fans to get involved.

Ausmusic T-Shirt Day, which is supported by ARIA and celebrated across triple j, Double J and the ABC as part of Ausmusic Month, is an annual day of fun and awareness to celebrate Australian music and raise urgently-needed funds for music workers in crisis due to the devastating impacts of COVID-19 or an issue that prevents them from working.
