Festicket Invests in Australian Expansion and Signs Up New Partner Festivals

Festicket is a new-age travel concierge for Festivalgoers. An innovative website where patrons can purchase tickets to over 1000+ festivals across 50+ countries and package them together with travel, accommodation and other add-ons into one neat little experience bundle. The whole trip booked in one click, users can even split the bill with their friends through the platform.

In 2019, Festicket acquired Event Genius: a multi-award-winning ticketing, access control and cashless POS platform based in the UK. The merge has allowed Festicket to create an end-to-end platform for both organisers and patrons together, and saw them get on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 list the same year.

Going from strength to strength on the global stage, it was announced yesterday that they are expanding operations Down Under for both their Festicket and Event Genius brands. Boasting “new talent, increased presence in the country, boosted investment and a number of new exclusive ticketing deals”.

In addition to existing deals secured earlier this year with Lost Paradise, Wildlands and For the Love festivals, Festicket have now announced additional ticketing partnerships with Promiseland festival; a brand new Gold Coast-based festival which has reportedly already sold-out, and The Grass Is Greener festival in Cairns. Both festivals are due to take place this October.

Festicket have now appointed a Regional Operations Manager to join Sam Owens, Head of Business Development, in managing the Aus-Pacific region. With a resume that includes work experience at Eventbrite and Ticketek, Tim Glenane (pictured above) is expected to bring a “vast knowledge of the live events and festival industries to the team”.

Owens said the business is now able to invest significantly in their team, resources, products and services for Australia and the wider APAC region.

“This is a hugely exciting time at Festicket as we continue to ramp up our operations in Australia and roll out our new end-to-end Event Genius offering,” he says.

“I’m really pleased to be welcoming Tim and the other new starters to the team, who – as we continue to grow – will be integral in providing the level of service we pride ourselves on at Festicket.”

As well as a team of local Account Managers to accompany Owens and Glenane, Festicket also promise “timezone specific customer support staff to help elevate the B2C fan offering in the region”.
